DVD Playback Support for Banshee

Although in Ubuntu 12.04 we will not see the Banshee, but it does not mean that Banshee is worthy to be forgotten. One of the reasons why Banshee remains in our particular concern may be caused that Banshee always continues to make improvements, one of them is DVD playback support for Banshee.

In Banshee 2.3.1, you can use your mouse or arrow key button to navigate the DVD menu. To enable DVD playback we need to install ‘libdvdcss-dev’ package. Click here to download the 32-bit package, and click here to download the 64-bit package. Once the .deb file has downloaded just double-click on it to begin installation.
How to install Banshee 2.3.1.
There are two methods, get the source from the Banshee’ website or installed from the Banshee’ PPA. I use the second method so I add this line to my sources.list.

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/banshee-daily/ubuntu oneiric main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/banshee-team/banshee-daily/ubuntu oneiric main
