Android 4.0 ICS for All Xperia Phones
Ice Cream Sandwich, the next version of Android will be released sometime October/November. This certainty comes from Eric Schmidt but about when the update will be issued by the OEMs it absolutely depends on the OEM itself.
According to a Sony Ericsson representative, Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro, Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V, and Xperia Ray (All Xperia Phones) will be updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich. We hope it will be realized the first half of 2012.
This ICS update will feature a “Virtual Camera Operator,” something like Kinect in functionality as it will use face detection to describe who is calling and adjust the video quality. Before you install Android 4.0, make sure your Xperia has been upgraded to Android 2.3.4.
