Install MyPaint 1.0.0 in Ubuntu

MyPaint has been recently updated. The latest version is MyPaint 1.0.0. For those of you who do not know what MyPaint is, below is the brief explanation:
"An open source graphics application for digital painters. It has unlimited canvas, a simple interface, basic layer support, extensive brush creation, and more. It is available for both Windows and Linux."
Install MyPaint 1.0.0 in Ubuntu
In this last version, you will get:
  • Floating tool windows can now be docked into a sidebar inside the main window.
  • In the brushstrokes tool, a “Lock Alpha” mode has been added and there are now some basic layer compositing modes.
  • A new configurable toolbar with dropdown widget for colour, brush settings, and brush.
  • Improvement in speed, user interface, and new brush collections have been added.

Here’s how to install:
Open Terminal, and type in the commands below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:achadwick/mypaint-testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mypaint

Unfortunately, the only PPA you can use to install the latest MyPaint is the MyPaint development PPA. For addition information, this isn't a stable PPA and may be can make MyPaint stop working after an update if a bug gets through.

For Windows OS users and other Linux distro, please see the MyPaint download page.
