Hello all, in this post I will share tips to converting PDF files to OpenOffice format. To do this work, we need the Oracle PDF Import Extension. Here's the complete guide:
- Download Oracle PDF Import Extension from openoffice.org. Choose one that suits your platform. Double-click the downloaded file, click ‘OK’ when asked if you want to install the extension. On the license agreement screen, click ‘Accept’ and then click ‘Close’ when the installation process completes.
- Run OpenOffice 3.0 and open your PDF files. Click ‘File’ -> ‘Open’ and browse the documents you want to convert.
- Click ‘File’ -> ‘Save As’. Give a name for the new converted documents in the “File Name” text box and select the destination to store the converted document. In the ‘Save As Type’ drop-down list, select the format you want to use for conversion. If you want the converted document fully compatible with OpenOffice, you have to select ‘OpenOffice.org 1.0 Drawing (SXD)’.
- Click ‘Save’ to complete the conversion.
That's all how to convert your PDF file to OpenOffice format. Hope it useful :).
