Install Amarok 2.5 in Ubuntu


A free cross-platform music player for KDE licensed GNU General Public License version 2, Amarok 2.5 was just released on December 20 yesterday. Amarok 2.5 has the code name "Earth Moving" is undergoing several improvements including:
  • GPodder.net podcast synchronization.
  • Re-written USB Mass Storage support.
  • The Windows version of Amarok is now officially declared stable.
  • Many bugfixes to the iPod plugin, thanks to MatÄ›j Laitl.
  • An integrated Amazon MP3 store. This major feature is the work of our web-entrepreneurs Sven and Justus.

So, here's how to install Amarok 2.5 in Ubuntu:
Open your Ubuntu' Terminal and run the command below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amarok
